Attend weekly webinar sessions hosted by the Tolkien Counselor that illustrate psychological principles from the weeks reading.
Learn new skills with the help of PDF worksheets corresponding to each weeks readings.
Perform real world tasks that mimic Bilbo's own crucial transformational experiences.

What is this Group Adventure anyway?

The Be Like Bilbo Group Adbventure is an 8 week online class hosted by the Tolkein Counselor. You can think of it as part book club, part transformation workshop.
How is this different from the Be Like Bilbo Discovery Trek?

The Discovery Trek is an online independant course. You can take it at any time and go through the material at your own pace. But it's a solitary Journey you walk alone. In the Group Adventure you will cover the same content as the Discovry Trek, but you will do so with a group of other Hobbit Lovers who meet weekly and therefore follows a structured reading schedule. In addition the Group Adventure is lead by the Tolkien Counselor himself.
What does "The Hobbit" have to do with anything?"

JRR Tolkien's "The Hobbit" serves as an excellent literary case study of change and transformation. Tolkien actually illustrates several psychological principles of learning, perseveriing and adaptation through the example of Bilbo Baggins. Sure you could do it with the Great Gatsby or Jane Austin, or Dickens or even Harry Potter. But The Hobbit is the perfect length, it is a quest tale to boot, and its the Tolkien Counselor doing it. What could be more perfect?
What is the Alignbacker Netowrk

The Alignbacker Network is the client interface of Tony Daltoso and Alignbacker LLC. The Tolkein Counselor is a Network Member and group Moderator, and therefore has access to the Network interface to adminster the Be LIke Biilbo Group Adventure.
